VISIT FROM ITALY
Later this month, students from Italy will be visiting the school for a 3 week cultural exchange. Each September, students from BHGHS visit Italy (and this year Greece!) for an opportunity to improve their language skills and see the many wonders a foreign culture can offer. 

This month it is our turn to share our culture and the beauty of Australia. 

SUBJECT CHOICES
Years 8, 9 and 10 are currently choosing subjects for next semester.  UVISS at BHGHS offers a wide range of subject choices and students should consult their teachers, Year Advisers and parents when making these important decisions.

... A quick overview of Beverly Hills Girls High School ...

Our school offers modern facilities, spacious grounds and many challenging and interesting things for students to learn and do both inside and outside the classroom. There are around 1000 girls currently enrolled at the school and approximately 70 teaching and support staff.

Two of the features which set Beverly Hills Girls High apart from more traditionally structured schools are our system of offering students the widest possible subject choice and the opportunity to progress through school at their own pace.

Under this system, students select subjects as units of work and are placed in classes based on their level of achievement rather than age. This mean that gifted students have the opportunity to progress rapidly and could perhaps sit their HSC examinations in some subjects a year or more ahead of their age cohort.

On the other hand, students who find a subject difficult can spend extra time perfecting their skills rather than   moving up a level before they are ready.
